Underneath Mideel

pardon me while I enter nerd mode:

the piece is meant to depict the scene where Tifa and Cloud fall into the lifestream underneath Mideel. The inspiration for this was a short scene right after where the knowledge of the ancients/all life enters her consciousness and starts to make her go crazy--the same knowledge that poisoned Cloud. And then, of course, they come out of it together after having solved their identity issues.

the background was intended to serve the purpose of depicting an amalgamation of memories and knowledge as well as time and space　(which I guess is just a pretentious way of saying A BUNCH OF STUFF THROWN TOGETHER LOL), sort of like the Chronopolis and Time Crash from Chrono Cross where alternate timelines converge. This way I could use the lifestream (and the knowledge inside) as a means to represent FF7 as a whole.
